What we collect and why

Enquiries (contact form). This covers your name, work email, role, what you want help with, and your message. We use it to reply, arrange demos or trials, and prepare quotes. Our legal basis is legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries. Where you’re asking about becoming a customer, it is also steps before entering a contract.

Support requests. This covers your name or username, email, category and message. We use it to resolve your issue and keep a record of support provided. Our basis is contract if you’re a customer, and legitimate interests otherwise.

Scorecard. Your answers are scored in your browser to show your result, and we don’t store them against your identity. If you contact us to discuss your result, we handle what you send us as an enquiry.

Subscribe (to newsletter). This covers your email address. We use it to send occasional product updates and articles. Our basis is consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

Business outreach. We may contact people in relevant roles at organisations that could benefit from our products. We use your name, job title, employer and business contact details. We obtain these from publicly available sources such as Companies House, company websites and professional profiles, and from business contact data providers. Our basis is legitimate interests in promoting relevant B2B services. Every message includes a simple way to opt out, and if you object we will stop and keep only the minimum needed to make sure we don’t contact you again.

Website analytics. We record pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicks and scrolling. This information includes your IP address and cookie identifiers, which count as personal data. We use it to understand how the site is used and improve it. Non-essential analytics cookies are set only with your consent (see Cookies below).

We don’t use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects, and we don’t sell it.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract. These include providers of website hosting and forms, website analytics, email, customer relationship management, and business contact data.

We may also share information with professional advisers, or where the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the US and the EU. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK–US Data Bridge, or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to protect it.

How long we keep it
  • Enquiries that don’t lead to business: 2 years from last contact.

  • Customer and support records: for the life of the contract plus 6 years, for legal and accounting purposes.

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep a suppression record so we don’t email you again.

  • Outreach contacts: 2 years from last contact, or until you object.

  • Analytics: up to 24 months.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you

  • have it corrected

  • have it erased

  • restrict or object to how we use it

  • have it transferred to another organisation

  • withdraw your consent at any time

You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.

To use any of these rights, contact us at the address above. We’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to resolve it first.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to measure site usage. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change your choice at any time via [the cookie settings link in the footer].
